Snubbed by a Snob is a 1940 Color Classics cartoon directed by Dave Fleischer and Stanley Quackenbush.
Summary[]
Hunky and Spunky encounter a snobby race horse and her son.
Plot[]
The episode begins with a young colt wandering a field eating grass. He then finds Spunky watching him from the other side of a fence. The colt approached him and inspected him. His mother mare calls him back and tells him to not talk to the donkey's. Spunky sneaks into the barn to find the colt having his mane being dressed. We next see the colt trot out of the barn. While wandering, he hears more clopping. He thinks he being follow and runs in place to listen in on the other clopping. He then runs out of the pasture into the woods with Spunky following behind. A short chase starts. We then see a bull singing to himself but as he sings, he gets interrupted a few times and starts getting annoyed. The bull hides in a bush and again sings to himself. He again gets annoyed and starts getting frustrated. The colt and Spunky continue to chase each other.
The colt hides in a tree while Spunky tries to find him. The colt begins to eats a ton of apples near a river. The colt then chugs a massive load of water making his belly expand to nearly touching the ground. The colt starts to walk home but due to the load of water he continues to fall over and have hiccups. The colt tries to jump over the wall but is having trouble. Spunky helps him up and is thanked by the colt. The colt jumps off the wall and ironically lands on the bull. Having enough the bull charges after the two. The chase ends with the bull running into a wall. The mother mare and Hunky call for the sons. Though they scoff at each other they become friends after seeing Spunky bring the colt back home.
