Mike The Masquerader is a 1960 Modern Madcaps cartoon.

Summary[]

A kid is walking down the street with a piggy bank to seemingly open a junior account in a local bank. The owner of the bank shows him the money vault to ensure that the bank is safe. Suddenly, the piggy bank opens up to show a gun, revealing that the "kid" wanted to rob the bank. With the money, he skedaddles out of the bank, only to bump into an elephant (Sid Raymond) and making his disguise fall off, revealing to be the wanted Mike the Masquerader (Gil Mack). Now being witnessed of his heinous crime, he makes a run for it again after hearing police sirens. A cop and deputy lieutenant realizes that the elephant had witnessed Mike without his disguise and knowing that an elephant usually "never forgets" puts the elephant in protective custody. Mike reads the daily newspaper about the elephant witnessing him and plans to disguise himself and get to the location of the elephant to personally "take him out".

Trivia[]
