Land of the Lost Jewels is a Noveltoons cartoon released in 1950. It is the 2nd cartoon based on the radio series Land of the Lost.
Plot[]
Two children named Billy and Isabelle go fishing on a boat. Mostly unsuccessful, the pair end up catching a talking fish named Red Lantern who describes himself as "the guiding light to the Land of the Lost". Red Lantern notices that Isabelle has lost her lucky pin and offers to take the kids there. When they agree, the red-scaled fish gives them magic seaweed so they can breathe underwater. The now-trio arrives, but it's a rule that they can't take anything with them when they leave.
Much like other things that have been lost, Isabelle's cricket pin- aptly named Happy-Go-Lucky- comes to life. They all hide and watch as King Find-All, the ruling walrus of the Land of the Lost, incorrectly sorts Happy-Go-Lucky into the Land of the Jewels instead of the Land of the Toys. After being chased by Queen Tiara's guards and tested, it's discovered that he is not made of emerald and can gleefully live amongst the toys. Isabelle bids farewell to her ex-charm.
Billy, Isabelle, and Red Lantern head back up to the boat, with the children waving goodbye to their fishy friend as he returns home.
