La Petite Parade is a 1959 Modern Madcaps cartoon.

Summary[]

A French shopkeeper's life is disrupted by a daily parade. The parade consists of "ze king, ze premier, all ze lords and ministers, army, navy, department sanitaire." When the "department sanitaire" hits a pothole, all the garbage gets dumped onto the street in front of his store.

In a remote French village with a population of 105 people, 104 of them march in a parade every day at 7 a.m. in front of crusty old matchmaker Monsieur Renoir's house.

Each morning, a hole in the street causes the royal trash truck to drop its load of garbage in front of his house, keeping him awake.

He complains to the mayor and everyone else who will listen to him. His efforts to work his way through city hall leaves him about as successful as you or I would be. Finally, his wife solves the problem...
