Bunny-Mooning is a 1937 Color Classics cartoon directed by Dave Fleischer and Myron Waldman.

Plot[]

Jack and Jill Bunny plan to get married, after he gives her a “1 carrot” ring. A “leaf” serves as the invitation sent to the wedding guests. The ceremony proceeds in idyllic fashion, with no hint of villainy going on.

Trivia[]

  • Although this cartoon was re-titled by U.M. & M., all circulating prints feature the National Telefilm Associates logo at the beginning and end.
  • In most prints of this cartoon, an abrupt cut occurs between the bunnies skipping along to their wedding to everyone taking their seats at the chapel. It is uncertain whether it was excised from the original release print.
  • The concept of an animal wedding was later reused in the 1949 Screen Songs cartoon Marriage Wows, with much of the gags related to the guests getting themselves ready also retained. Myron Waldman served as head animator on both cartoons.
  • A re-dubbed version of the cartoon titled Easter Bunny's Wedding Party was released on VHS in 1996 by United American Video (UAV).
