Bull fright

Bull Fright is a 1955 Casper the Friendly Ghost cartoon.

Summary[]

Casper, the Friendly Ghost, travels south of the border down Mexico way. He comes upon a baby bull, who is attempting to imitate his father, a hero of the bull-ring. Casper trains the calf in the art of bull-fighting. When papa bull becomes incapacitated in the bull-ring and is in danger of being killed by the matador, his son, Poncho with Casper's help, charges into the ring and bests the bullfighter.

Plot[]

When Casper the Friendly Ghost visits Mexico, "Your Friendly Neighbor," he visits a camp for training bulls. He finds Poncho, a calf who feels bad because he is not as good as his papa. Casper takes him under his wing to teach him. Casper advises him to keep his head down when charging... he ends up in a bale of hay. Casper then tells him to keep his eyes on the red cape. He mistakes a red flag for the cape and runs headlong into a rail car full of explosives. They go to the bullfight, where Casper tells Poncho that his papa is in trouble. Poncho charges the matador... who is scared off by Casper instead of Poncho.
